Welcome to the Town of Aquinnah!

We are pleased that you made the decision to reside in Aquinnah and hope that you have many years of success and happiness in your new home.
 
This letter is written as a courtesy to make you aware of the Town’s taxation process as it may not have been discussed with you at your closing.  
 
The Town real estate tax bills are issued quarterly and are due on August 1st, November 1st, February 1st and May 1st.  Personal Property tax bills are issued with your 3rd and 4th quarter bills and are due February 1st and May 1st.  Personal Property tax applies to businesses and second residences.  Motor vehicle excise is issued annually to each registration with the bulk of the bills being due in March.
 
It is possible that you have a tax liability and have not received a bill.  Please call (508) 645-2303 to determine what, if any, liability exists prior to the above due dates to prevent any interest and charges.
